How to make procurement and supply chain management your success factor
Both potential and complexity in procurement and supply management are often underestimated.
Procurement and supply chain management are crucial levers for the success of the entire company. Only with the right suppliers and good cooperation with these suppliers companies can achieve high performance today!
In order to succeed, it is necessary that the corporate functions of procurement and supply chain management are well integrated into the key processes and essential decisions of the company as a whole, especially in the definition of corporate strategy. Procurement and supply chain management have to be guided by the respective goals.
Management of Complexity
In order to enable the corporate functions of procurement and supply chain management to live their role, it is important to manage complexity effectively. Procurement alone has several and above all sometimes conflicting goals to pursue. The same applies to the supply chain management. Clemens Rinnebach took over the project management for the optimization of strategic procurement. The project included functional strategy, process management & reorganization, supply-resilience, risk management, contract management as well compliance-management.
- Special achievement: Project implementation in the geographical scope Europe, USA, Latin America
Emarticon took on the task of using digitization to achieve a significant increase in the performance of the procurement function.
- Special success: The project was successfully completed in 2/3 of the planned time.
- In addition, the introduction of AI-based supply management using S/4 Hana was achieved.
As an interim manager, Clemens Rinnebach successfully took over the project lead for the technical supplier development of a new photolithography product.
- Special challenge and achievement: The overall project is the follow-up project for the winner of the German Future Prize and moves in the sub-nano range at the limit of what is technically feasible.
- Production ramp-up was achieved within 18 months.
As Head of Sourcing, Clemens Rinnebach played a key role in the turnaround and ultimately successful restructuring of the system-relevant major bank HypoRealEstate and the establishment of the healthy successor company pbb Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG.
- Special achievement: Complete global rebuild of the procurement & sourcing function
Clemens Rinnebach was a competence partner in the development of the sustainability strategy of the traditional chemical company Deutsche Amphibolin-Werke (DAW). The main focus was the implementation of the LkSG (Supply Chain CSP Due Diligence Act) in the company's global supply chain.
